<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
:ten minutes pass:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I seriously contemplated just letting that be my first post. I'm sure that would have brought in the readers. But seriously, I love blogs. I follow tons of blogs on my Bloglovin' app and have, on average, 40 new posts to read daily. I live for that moment. That moment where I get to sit back, take a break from reality, and see all the adorable things others are crafting, making, and cooking and then writing about on their blog. It's my happy time. It's my time where I get to sift through several cute ideas, screen-shot them and then try to do them myself. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I've always wanted to be a part of that world. I want to be one of those girls who blog. One of those girls who are cute and quirky and everyone loves in the blog world (I'm talking about YOU, <a href="http://www.thesmallthingsblog.com/" target="_blank">Kate</a> and <a href="http://www.thelaurenelizabeth.com/" target="_blank">Lauren</a>). Now, I'm not sure that's going to happen, but I'm going to do my best. I'm going to start a blog. I'm going to do the thing I've talked about doing for years. So, here goes nothing...</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I turned 26 on November 10th. 2-freaking-6. I'm not thrilled about it. I know it's not old, but my sweet husband, Kyle, likes to point out that I'm older than him. Yes, I know, babe. Thanks. It's not even a year and half difference, but he reminds me. Anyway, I decided to make a list of 27 things I want to do before I'm 27. I got this idea from <a href="http://www.savoringthesweetstuff.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Meaghan</a>, as she's done this for the past two years I think. Here we go! *disclaimer: these may not all seem that exciting, but they mean something to me*</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1. Start a blog <b>DONE 12/10/13</b></div>
<div>
2. Read 10 books </div>
<div>
3. Run a 5K (at least)</div>
<div>
4. Go on a trip out of the country</div>
<div>
5. Get tenured</div>
<div>
6. Start a book or wine club</div>
<div>
7. Learn how to French braid well</div>
<div>
8. Make a budget and stick to it</div>
<div>
9. Add at least two items to a donate pile every month</div>
<div>
10. Make 2 new recipes a month</div>
<div>
11. Watch a documentary (I hate them)</div>
<div>
12. Go on a girls trip with my mom</div>
<div>
13. Get officially accepted into the ESU School of Counseling Graduate program</div>
<div>
14. Host a successful dinner party</div>
<div>
15. Sing karaoke w/ Mindy (we used to do this several times a month, but haven't in forever!)</div>
<div>
16. Go to a museum</div>
<div>
17. Go to a winery I've never been to before</div>
<div>
18. Put shutters on our house</div>
<div>
19. Landscape our yard</div>
<div>
20. Start using anti-aging creams on face/eyes regularly (never too early to start)</div>
<div>
21. Volunteer</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div>
22. Buy a sewing machine and use it<br />
23. Make a four-course meal from scratch<br />
24. Visit a new state<br />
25. Go to a show/performance/play (not a concert, but like a grown-up show)<br />
26. Take a cooking class<br />
27. Learn how to bake a pie from scratch from my Grandma<br />
<br />
So there you have it - 27 things I want to accomplish before I'm 27. Wish me luck!<br />
<br />
And since a blog post isn't complete without photos, here are a few!<br />
